This site is a place where a small group of people who like to run distributed GPU compute to find factors of very large
numbers coordinate their efforts.
This is primarily in order to assist the Great Internet Mersenne Prime Search
find very large prime numbers.

anyone with a computer and an internet connection can now contribute -- for free
-- no software to install.
Colaboratory is pretty interesting to explore. There's lots of things to learn and do, all for free!
If you would like to help out, please create an account here.
This is needed to be able to assign work units out to different machines to run,
and then have them reported back on without "toes being stepped on".
And we promise we won't spam you, etc. We have better things to do with our time...
Next, if you have some GPUs you'd like to "spin up", depending on what type of GPU you
have please see this thread if you
have an Nvidia brand GPU (CUDA) or this one if
have an AMD or Intel GPU (OpenCL).

Even if you don't have any GPUs of your own, you can still contribute! Click on the
Create new Access Key link to the left, and
complete the simple form. Then copy-and-paste the Notebook you'll be given into Colab
and begin work!

available from the menus on the left, showing what we're up to. Please click
around; explore! Additional account-specific reports are available to signed-in
participants, under the "My Account" menu.
