But, I have missed y’all, and I’m itching to get back into the crafty swing of things, so…I’m back! And I’m back hopping with the CASE-ing the Catty Crew, were we are this week CASE-ing this sketch based on a card on page 72 of the Annual catalogue.

I’ve combined this sketch with more catty inspiration from page 41 as well – the card at the very top of this image.

My base card is the fab In Color Cinnamon Cider which  I am particularly loving paired with other neutrals like black and white and with pops of colour – in this case Real Red. I dug around in my ribbon box to find these two retired ribbons that worked well for my card. 

I loved the diagonal design of the square card on page 41 and thought using that for the square panel of the sketch design would work really well. I fussy cut this funky little feline out from the Playful Pets DSP. I keep thinking of this suite as “the dog one” but it is actually cats and dogs and there are two whole sheets of kitties characters as well as two sheets of delightful doggies. Such fun!

The sentiment is from Timeless Tropical and I have stamped and white heat embossed it onto Basic Black card stock a couple of times and then fussy cut the words out so that I could adhere them separately like this. This is a great technique that you can even use to combine words from different sentiment stamps to make up your own custom sentiments. 

Funnily enough the last card I shared before my break also had this sentiment on it – seems appropriate for my month off!
