We are deeply concerned by the tragic death of George Floyd and countless others and the continuing unjust treatment of people of color in this country. AGI values inclusiveness and supports the efforts of its Member Societies to address these issues. As we examine possible action plans, we reject all forms of intolerance and prejudice and seek to create an inclusive community in our scientific endeavors. At our Member Society Council meeting on June 22, an intersociety committee was established to provide a framework for the geoscience community to address inclusiveness.
