DASH, an academic dashboard space for students to view course and resource material, was retired on October 29, 2018. Information and Technology Services (ITS) designed DASH in 2015 to provide students with a portal to access their courses hosted in the now-retired CTools learning management system (LMS) and Canvas, U-M’s current LMS. They could view their assignments and calendar for those courses in a single application. Although DASH did engage and inform students, enhancing their educational experience, as the university transitioned fully to Canvas, it was determined that Canvas’ more robust dashboard tools serve the same purpose and fulfill the student’s needs in more sustainable manner.
